362.4ct. LOUISIANA QUARTZITE SIMI BLACK OPAL CABOCHON ROUGH
Take a look at this tantalizing rough slab of Louisiana Quartzite Simi Black Opal. This stone comes from the Hidden Fire Opal Mine, which has been closed these many years. What remains of this beautiful Opal is probably in the hands of private collectors, and we feel quite blessed to have run across this wonderful stone again and to be able to offer it at such a low starting bid. This gorgeous slab showing a light purple flash measures 4 1/2x 3 3/8x 1/4", weighs 362.4ct. and will make a wonderful addition to your collection. Pictured wet.
There are two slabs available in this listing. Both were cut from the same stone and have the same shape and color as in the photos. The measurements of the second slab (not pictured) is 4 3/4x 3 1/2x 1/4" and the weight is 394.9cts. It is identical to what you see in the photos.
